Help Feed a Neighbor
The speakers will present an overview of hunger in our community and describe the Second Helpings programs that address this critical issue, which has grown even more critical this past year.
Lili Coleman has been executive director for Second Helpings for the past four years. During that time, the agency has expanded the Healthy Food Initiative, created the FILL THE NEED PROGRAM (feeding workers who ride Palmetto Breeze buses to work on HHI and Bluffton), and the K-12 Food Rescue Program (fourth-grade students rescue unopened food during lunch hours). In this past year, Second Helpings has distributed, through generous donations, over $200,000 of purchased food to meet the needs of our communities facing COVID restrictions and food shortages.

Mary Ann Bell joined the Second Helpings board in 2020. Prior to that, Mary Ann spent 30 years at the H. J. Heinz Company and WESCO International in various finance leadership roles, including investor relations and corporate communications. In 2016, she was honored by the Pennsylvania Diversity Council with a Most Powerful and Influential Women Award.
