Here are the questions for February Current Events Discussion.

These are the questions for our next current events meeting at Mangiamo’s, February 20 at noon for lunch.  Although you pay for lunch at the restaurant, please register here on our website or let Richard Hammes know you are coming so he can give the restaurant an accurate headcount.

1. What are the key issues/programs Democrats/Liberals should begin emphasizing now in order to ingrain them in the voting public before the 2026 election?  Why are these issues critical?  What population segments should they focus on courting?
2. What are likely to be the three biggest concerns for the United State over the next two years, globally and domestically?  Come with some specific ideas.
3. A way too early look at 2028.  Besides the known probable candidates (Newsom, Whitmer, Pritzker, Stein, Harris), who are some candidates you would like to see run for president and why?
